American Academy of Equine Art
Races ahead of all the Equine Arts specialists with "Runaway Show"!
While the American Fashion Oscar gossips rage on, Georgetown and the American Academy of Equine Art are playing host to a number of fashionable events of their own. The new Scott County arrival is proving there's more to art than Composition, design and class acting with painting and sculpture, displayed in high-stepping fashion! The AAEA will storm Spindletop and Fayette County with the best of the best in Georgetown models and fashion for all ages!
There will be something for everyone's budget and taste on April 26th at the AAEA "FASHION for FUNDS"--a great Fashion show fund-raiser to provide scholarships to people of all ages in need of a creative direction!
To show a real spirit of inclusion and to celebrate the new children's workshops, the AAEA will add Resa's Browning's "Seeds and Saplings" fashions and her crew of child stars to the lineup. Dillard's will be doing the big girl and boy clothing--and watch out for these great new styles, hot off the New York runways.
You will find that wearing these hip new clothes is suited for Keeneland, Junior League, the Kentucky Derby and the Rolex alike! Even the HIGH HOPE will welcome you and your whole family with these stylist outfits. Support your hometown Art Academy and buy local! Look for the label that says, quality and high performance--when selecting Equine Art!

Dear AAEA Members,
The Academy is moving! Our new address is PO Box 1364 Georgetown, KY 40324. Please make note of this change. The office number (859) 281-6031 will remain the same, as will my email, fcconner@aaea.net.
The Kentucky Horse Park needs our space and is terminating our lease early. Although many may be upset/confused about the move, I truly feel that this is a great opportunity for the Academy and I see great things in our future. I want to express that the American Academy of Equine Art is not a building, it is an organization. We were prosperous before we had this building, and I am more than confident that we will prosper both in this interim period and when we move to a new facility. During this transition, the Academy will need everyone’s help and cooperation.
In the interim period, I will be working from home, (approximately 5 miles from the Kentucky Horse Park). I will also have an office setting in both the Lexington History Museum and, in the fall, the Georgetown Arts and Cultural Center. By spending time in these two locations, I will have the opportunity to showcase both the Invitational exhibition as well as the Juried Show in the fall and push for art sales.
We are hoping to move to Old Friends, a retirement facility for ex-race horses. It is a great location only 4 miles from the Kentucky Horse Park. We will know more details about our potential new home in the very near future.
Due to the fact that we do not know exactly when we will be moving to a new facility, we are hoping to expand our satellite workshops in 2011. Our 2011 workshops will begin in Aiken, SC where Booth Malone will be teaching a class at Louise Mellon’s personal studio. We are in the process of confirming other 2011 workshops. If anyone has an idea for a satellite workshop, please contact me.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call/email me.
Best Art Wishes,
Frances Clay Conner, Director
