A Houston Texas native and lifelong student of art, Ken Sullivan earned his degree in Economics at Texas A&M University in 1986. He continued to study art on his own during a fifteen-year career in the oil business and taught himself to sculpt, intuitively developing his clean, powerful style.

Ken combines universal themes with his passion for anatomy, accuracy, action and attention to detail. The result is a fresh approach to classical realism that celebrates the beauty of the human and equine form. His powerful and distinctive equine figures in particular have captured the attention of critics and collectors alike.

A professional sculptor since 2002, Ken's work has quickly gained national recognition. In addition to being named "Artist to Watch" by Southwest Art magazine in July 2004, he's been profiled in Cowboys & Indians, Western Horseman, and other arts industry publications.

His work has been included in several national exhibitions including the National Sculpture Society's Stallions, Ponies and Unicorns in NYC, and the American Academy of Equine Art's Horse in Fine Art.

Ken is a Full Member of the American Academy of Equine Art and an Associate Member of the Society of Animal Artists. He's also a member of the American Plains Artists and a colleague member of the National Sculpture Society.

He and his wife Marti live in southwest Denver with their two sons, Grant and Ryan.
