Horses and art were the main focus of Michigan artist, Andrea Harman Steiner's early life. Both were set aside for many years for family and work, and while she no longer owns a horse, art has come full circle and is again a major factor in her life.

Participating first with the annual Harness Tracks of America's exhibit/auctions in the mid-90's, she moved on to AAEA and other juried shows, picking up awards, commissions, and gallery representation along the way. Her work was selected for the 1997 Draft Horse Classic poster, and has been pictured on the covers and in feature articles in numerous publications, among them The Chronicle of the Horse, Equine Images, Wildlife Art News, Polo: Player's Edition, Spur, Sidelines, Michigan Thoroughbred Breeder's Association, The Draft Horse Journal, Hoofbeats, Art Horse Magazine, and Equine Vision. She was commissioned to paint multiple pieces for the Ontario Jockey Club, in Canada, and the Menlo Polo Club, in California, and has work in the collections of numerous racing stables, as well as other sporting art collectors, and everyday horse owners.

Andrea has shown her work in exhibits at the Kentucky Derby Museum, the International Museum of the Horse, the National Museum of Polo, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, the Columbia Art League, the Aiken Thoroughbred Hall of Fame and Museum, the Wildlife Experience Museum, the Northern Westchester Center for the Arts, and has participated in gallery shows at The Sporting Gallery, in Middleburg, Virginia, Frost and Reed, in Saratoga Springs, New York, the MFHA exhibit at Cross Gate Gallery, in Lexington, Kentucky, as well as additional galleries in California, New Mexico, Illinois, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, and South Carolina.

In addition to being a Full Member of the American Academy of Equine Art, she is also Associate Member of the Society of Animal Artists, and Oil Painters of America.
