AAEA - SALLY MOREN

The English Whip

Sally Moren, Norfolk, MA, is a successful equine artist who divides her time between commissioned horse and dog portraits and paintings that feature the equine sporting life, with a focus on foxhunting and coaching.

Raised in Virginia, she is a graduate of The College of William and Mary, with an MA degree from Mills College. While she has resided in New England for years, she still maintains strong connections to family and friends in Virginia, where she grew up. She attributes much of her painting style to the heritage she absorbed from “the Old Dominion”—its countryside, its history, and the innate gentility of its people.

Her work has appeared on the cover of the Chronicle of the Horse, as well as covers of several Fidelity Jumper Classic programs. She is an associate member of The Academy of Equine Art and has exhibited numerous times in AAEA exhibits at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Her work can be found in private collections from California to Virginia, with New England as a home base. She is currently accepting commissions for horse and dog portraits, and her oils are available either through her internet site at www.sallymoren.com, or local New England galleries.
