AAEA - CAROL BIERING HENDRIX

Runnin Smooth'n'Easy

Carol Biering Hendrix, a Las Vegas, Nevada resident, was born and raised in Texas where she developed a deep interest in horses and art. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education/Art, she began specializing in commissioned oil portraits of horses, other animals, florals and landscapes. She has been involved in various art activities since that time, and her work has been included in many private collections, galleries and shows throughout the Southwest. Carol has, also, become a distinguished photographer, as well as, utilizing her photographic skills for client advertisement purposes, commissioned photo portraits, as an aid in developing her paintings and as an art form.

Carol’s work has appeared in Western Horseman as a featured artist, the Paint Horse Journal, Texas Agriculture Magazine, The Corner Post and as featured artist in Valley Horse News.

She has exhibited throughout the Southwest with the Lubbock Art Association, Texas Fine Art Association, the Las Vegas Art Museum, Clark County Library District as a featured artist, the Ruidoso Super Sale and the Double T Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Other galleries include Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas, Remington Park Gallery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a portrait owned by Wayne Newton. Her work has been juried into many shows including the American Academy of Equine Art.

She is a member of the Equine Art Guild, Canine Art Guild, the International Equine Art Association, Las Vegas Art Museum, Women Artists of the West (WAOW Assoc.), the American Academy of Equine Art (AAEA Assoc.) and the American Academy of Women Artists (Artist Member) and the National Society of Artists.
