He has been commissioned by leading owners and trainers to paint some of the finest harness horses of our day, including: Moni Maker, Niatross, Mack Lobell, Malabar Man, Continentalvictory, Muscles Yankee, Armbro Goal, Forrest Skipper, Lindy Lane, C R Kay Suzie, Harmonious, Victory Dream, Giant Victory, Probe and Park Avenue Joe.

Well known for his realistic conformation and racetrack settings, Botto has been profiled on WNJN television and in major equine magazines. His work has appeared on dozens of magazine covers and he has been the subject of many newspaper articles. A book entitled; The Equine Artistry of Richard A. Botto featured information about his artistic background, artistic genealogy and experience in the horse world.

Currently, Richard has been commissioned by the Meadowlands Racetrack and the Hambletonian Society to execute a commemorative poster of the 75th Anniversary of the running of the Hambletonian. Mr. Botto is available for commission work, please contact the Academy for information.
