Collectors’ Preview Party & Benefit

Prior to the public opening of the
24th Annual Spring Member’s Exhibition

Proceeds benefit the American Academy of Equine Art, Central Kentucky Riding for the Handicapped and The International Museum of the Horse.


About the benefit organizations:

The mission of the American Academy of Equine Art is to establish a standard of excellence in the field of contemporary equine art, and to broaden public awareness of equine art through education, exhibitions, demonstrations and critiques. Of primary interest to the Academy is the encouragement and promotion of the development of aspiring equine artists.
   
Central Kentucky Riding for the Handicapped is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for people with disabilities by providing equine related activities for children and adults with physical, cognitive, emotional and social special needs.
   
The International Museum of the Horse is a non-profit educational institution whose purpose is to provide the public with a general overview of the history of the horse and his relationship with man, and to define his role in contemporary society.    
   
   
Event Program

6:00 p.m. Doors Opens
6:45 p.m. Drawing for first door prize* (bottle of private label wine by Equus Run)
7:00-7:30 p.m. Nationally known artist Lesley Humphrey will create a fabulous painting on site in the gallery, to be auctioned later in the evening.
7:45 p.m. Award of Excellence winners announced.
7:45 p.m. Auction of selected artworks by Lesley Humphrey, Gwen Reardon and Kay Witherspoon
8:15 p.m. Drawing for second door prize* (Fay Moore racing scene lithograph)
9:00 p.m. Event closes
