The American Academy of Equine Art (AAEA) will hold its 2010 Spring Invitational Show at the Lexington History Museum in Lexington, KY. The exhibit will open with an artists' reception Friday, April 16, 2010, (the the public the next day) from 6:30-9:00 p.m. and will run through November 1, 2010. This is an exciting annual event eagerly anticipated by equine art lovers and collectors alike. It features work from AAEA Full and Associate members as well as other distinguished artists from all over the world. This year, there will be approximately 80 pieces on display. The quality of this year's show is particularly outstanding, with a varied interesting mix of styles and techniques. It is certainly worth a visit to see this unique collection. However, if you are unable to make it to the Museum, you can view the collection linked on this page.

A nonprofit group dedicated to the promotion of excellence in the equine art genre, the AAEA was founded in 1980 by such notable artists as Jean Bowman, Marilyn Newmark, Richard Stone Reeves, and Sam Savitt.
